Listening with China Blue
In my podcast “Listening with China Blue” I interview local and international musicians, artists, filmmakers, teachers, Buddhists, psychiatrists, business leaders and culture creators about how listening leads to creativity, innovation, change and happiness.
Some of my most recent and exciting interviews include hearing from the distinguished composer David Amram who speaks about listening to the Beat poets and and the making of one of the most important experimental films of the 20th Century, “Pull My Daisy.” In another interview I speak with the Spoleto Festival Orchestra conductor Timothy Myers about his job listening and communicating without words to an orchestra. I hope you will be riveted like I was when I learned about how the hearing brain is vast and integrated with our other senses from the neurobiologist, Dr. Nina Kraus.
